(You are in the right place! I changed my banner and my background - tell me what you think!)
I always look for signs and the more you look, the more you see...
I have been wanting to meet more art minded people up here and getting discouraged since I am so far away from anyone and not sure where to start. A couple weeks ago I found a town sorta close (1hour!) that has a whole art community and this week in the local paper was this...
THis is a workshop pretty close to me that I am going to now on Tuesday! YAY! It is funded by the ON govt up here to promote artist and marketing. It includes a notebook, lunch and an all day workshop for 20 bucks!
Hopefully I can meet some people and learn some marketing tips at the same time. I'll let you know how it went.
Saturday, I was going to go on a tour shopping and flea marketing and it was gonna be my artist date, but it was so miserable outside that I decided to stay home.
I decided to have an artist date at home! I got out all my supplies and had a brain wave in the morning that I really liked the silkscreen type posters of Obama and it would be neat to try to make one. Sarah is right into Obama and I thought I could do this for her.
I had a lot of fun. It was really neat doing all these colors - like a paint by number that I made myself.
I know, this is the fat version of Obama. lol!
After I got it laid out, I realized too late that his face was too fat... still cool though!
I'd like to do some more faces this way.
Even though we are in Canada, we get a lot of US tv and media and we see more of this election than our own! We are excited to see what happens Nov 4 and it's so cool to watch history in the making.
