The last few weeks I have been determined to get some stuff out of here on ebay! Listing like crazy! And stuff has been selling - Yeehaw!
Love it when that happens.
So now, I am adding stuff to my ETSY shop as well, now I am getting in the groove.
These are the latest in my ETSY shop...
And the recent additons on ebay.
Both links are on the side of my blog.
Thanks!

Syncronicity
(You are in the right place! I changed my banner and my background - tell me what you think!)
I always look for signs and the more you look, the more you see...
I have been wanting to meet more art minded people up here and getting discouraged since I am so far away from anyone and not sure where to start. A couple weeks ago I found a town sorta close (1hour!) that has a whole art community and this week in the local paper was this...
THis is a workshop pretty close to me that I am going to now on Tuesday! YAY! It is funded by the ON govt up here to promote artist and marketing. It includes a notebook, lunch and an all day workshop for 20 bucks!
Hopefully I can meet some people and learn some marketing tips at the same time. I'll let you know how it went.
Saturday, I was going to go on a tour shopping and flea marketing and it was gonna be my artist date, but it was so miserable outside that I decided to stay home.
I decided to have an artist date at home! I got out all my supplies and had a brain wave in the morning that I really liked the silkscreen type posters of Obama and it would be neat to try to make one. Sarah is right into Obama and I thought I could do this for her.
I had a lot of fun. It was really neat doing all these colors - like a paint by number that I made myself.
I know, this is the fat version of Obama. lol!
After I got it laid out, I realized too late that his face was too fat... still cool though!
I'd like to do some more faces this way.
Even though we are in Canada, we get a lot of US tv and media and we see more of this election than our own! We are excited to see what happens Nov 4 and it's so cool to watch history in the making.

Sarah's room
Well, we are almost at the end of doing Sarah's room! We installed a new carpet (much better than cold tile!) on Thanksgiving weekend and we painted a wall that was dark red into black. Just one wall and the others are white. Sarah wanted to go with a neat black and white theme. She could see it in her head and we executed it. So cool.
THis was the wall before...
And after with awesome decals from IKEA. THey wouldnt stick to the paint- but nothing some gel medium couldn't fix!
Yesterday, we found a great bed set. As soon as she saw it, it was like "THAt's it!". No more looking.. are you sure? YUP!.
It is cool- reversible black and white tree designs with 2 throw pillows- one solid black and one both sides same as comforter. Pillow shams too - also reversible. Love it! So does she.
She picked out this candle holder too which looks great on her wall, some boxes for storage and I have to sew a body pillow case for her couch.
So the colors are black white and tan. Looks great.
This is above her door. I ordered this from Rwanda for her 16th birthday. It is handmade by the women there. She had done a project on Rwanda and was very interested in it and I made a book with it showing how the two tribes are now working together where once there was tragedy.
A nice reminder of hope.

Art room update
BEFORE:
Well not even way before... just before after I cleaned everything out of Sarahs room. Nice eh?
NOw part of the same room AFTER
See that tall cabinet beside the door? It is so cool! I got it at IKEA and it has 10 adjustable shelves. Got some stuff there already and workin on more...
When I bought it, I wasn't sure where it was going. I just WANTED it! lol
Then I thought of right there and what da ya know? It fits perfect. LIke it was MEANT to be there.
Just like a lot in life - just do what you feel and it will work. We get signs along the way if we are on the right path and I'm seeing some signs!
Just keep looking.

Wow.
These are a close up of some orange mums my honey got for me -so pretty
This is kinda crazy, but in a good way. Yesterday and the day before, I wanted to put up a blog entry. And I got stuck every part of the way. Couldn't sign in, then couldn't upload pics and I just got frustrated I gave up. Frig this! Geez.
I did get onto Jacqueline's site though and told her that I wanted to join the Artist's way group. After a while trying to do that... it finally worked. I have done the morning pages 2 just TWO days and all the while there are voices in your head..
" what are you doing, this is a waste of time, you have stuff to do, yadda yadda"
BUT I do it anyway. Yesterday, I made a list of stuff I wanted to accomplish that day. I didnt get some of it done, but some I did and now today I got the rest done!
Anyways, I felt like yesterday was kind of a waste and then woke up today and did pages again. It wasnt so much what I wrote I dont think but the shift in attitude about doing something that I set out to do... so another list today and it was sunny out today and I just said lets just go for a walk! And we did. Maggie and I in the leaves and I took tons of pics that I am happy with and that felt good. Here are some below...
BUT I came back and did some ebay work ( that I have put off for months!) and then decided to do a blog entry about today and whatdayaknow! Pics loaded first try and no problems- imagine that.
I guess cause yesterday I was just putting up stuff to make an entry... not to be real. And my point of today was to show that I had a good time in the woods with my puppy and my camera and that feels good.
So now many ideas swirling and got to get them all down.
I want to make this blog more of ME too not just fluff. I don't need to make this for anyone else or to impress or be "popular".
I can show the REAL me - not just here but in my day to day life too.
That is something to work on.
